Follow the steps to upgrade in 3 minutes and enjoy an unlimited Notion experience

Preparation before upgrade

Confirm receipt of educational email information

After the purchase is successful, please check your email (including the spam folder) to see if you have received the account and password for the educational email.

Ensure the Notion account is normal

Please log in to your Notion account first to ensure that you can access and edit normally.

Back up important data (optional)

Although the upgrade process will not affect your data, it is recommended to export important pages as a backup in advance.

Verify Education Email Account

First, we need to verify that the education email you purchased can be logged in and used normally.

If you cannot log in, please check if the account and password are correct, or contact customer service for help.

Detailed Steps:

  1. 1Open the email provider's website https://mail.joi.edu.kg
  2. 2Log in with the education email account and password we provided
  3. 3Confirm that you can send and receive emails normally
  4. 4Write down this email address, you will need it later

Please carefully check the account and password we sent, paying attention to case and special characters. If you still cannot log in, please contact customer service.

Log in to your Notion account

Log in with your existing Notion account, we are going to change the email address bound to the account.

Please make sure you are using the Notion account you want to upgrade to avoid operating the wrong account.

Detailed Steps:

  1. 1Open Notion's official website (notion.so)
  2. 2Click the "Log in" button in the upper right corner
  3. 3Enter your current Notion account email and password or third-party login
  4. 4After successful login, confirm that you can see your workspace and pages

Forgot Notion account password
You can use Notion's password reset function to reset your password via email before upgrading.
Account is locked or abnormal
Please contact Notion official customer service to solve the account problem before upgrading.

Go to the account settings page

Find the account settings option in Notion to prepare to change the email address.

Detailed Steps:

  1. 1In the Notion interface, click "Settings" at the bottom of the left sidebar
  2. 2In the pop-up window's left menu, select the user avatar + common name option, in the menu line above "Preferences"
  3. 3Find the "Email" section and click the "Change email" button on the right

Can't find the "Settings" option
Please make sure you have administrator rights, or try refreshing the page. If it is a mobile terminal, the settings option may be in a different location.
The "Change email" button is gray
It may be because your account has special restrictions, please contact customer service for assistance.

Change bound email

Change your Notion account email to the education email we provide, this is the key step to upgrade.

Please be sure to keep both the education email and Notion logged in so that you can receive and process verification emails in a timely manner.

Detailed Steps:

  1. 1In the "Change email" dialog box, first complete the password verification, and then enter the education email address we provided
  2. 2Click "Send verification email" to send the verification email
  3. 3Open a new tab and log in to the education email
  4. 4Find the verification email sent by Notion and copy the verification code in the email
  5. 5Return to Notion, paste the verification code in the "Change email" dialog box, click the "Change email" button, and wait for the verification to complete
  6. 6Go back to the Notion account settings page and confirm that the email has been changed to [your-email]@joi.edu.kg

Having trouble?

No verification email received
Please check the spam folder of your education email, or wait a few minutes and resend the verification email.
The verification link is invalid or expired
The verification link has a time limit, please resend the verification email to get a new link.
The email address prompts that it has been used
This education email may have been used by other accounts, please contact customer service to change the email.

Upgrade to Education Plus plan

Verify that your Notion account has been successfully upgraded to the Education Plus plan.

Congratulations! If you see the Education Plus logo, it means the upgrade has been successful. Now you can enjoy all the Plus features.

Detailed Steps:

  1. 1In Notion, enter the "Settings" window page again
  2. 2Click the "Upgrade plan" tab, scroll down the window to find the "Get the Education Plan" option
  3. 3Click the "Get the Education Plan" button and wait for the page to load
  4. 4Confirm that the page displays the words "Welcome to Notion for Education"
  5. 5Check if all the features of the Plus plan are displayed, such as unlimited blocks, file uploads, etc.
  6. 6Try using some Plus features, such as uploading large files or viewing page history
  7. 7If everything is normal, congratulations, the upgrade is successful!

Please wait a few minutes for the system to update, or try logging out and logging back into Notion. If the problem persists, please contact customer service.
Some features are still restricted
It may take some time for all features to take effect, please wait 10-30 minutes. If there are still problems after 1 hour, please contact customer service.

Upgrade Success Verification

After completing the above steps, please verify whether the upgrade is successful as follows:

Check account plan

Go to "Settings" → "Explore plans" to see if "Education Plus" is displayed

Test file upload

Try to upload a file larger than 5MB, free users cannot upload

Check page history

Open any page to see if there is a "Page history" option

Subscribe to "Notion AI" at a 50% discount

Go to "Settings" → "Explore plans", click the "Notion AI" option to see a 50% discount on the subscription price.
